Creating Accessible Designs with Canva
January 14, 2026 from 2–2:45 p.m.

Presenter: Emily Baker, Senior Digital Accessibility Specialist

Enterprise-level Canva Pro will soon be available for UChicago. Canva is a popular, user-friendly tool for creating visually engaging presentations, invitations, and flyers—but will your design be accessible to everyone? Join us to explore best practices for making your Canva creations accessible, and learn practical strategies to address accessibility limitations in your finished product. This session will help you ensure your content can be enjoyed and understood by all audiences.

This virtual meeting will include Zoom’s automated closed captions. If you have any questions about access or would like to request a reasonable accommodation to facilitate your full participation, please contact digitalaccessibility@uchicago.edu.
